As part of the planning process, wind farms and large developments often require an EIA to be produced by specialist consultants. We provide these services for television, radio and other broadcast and telecommunications services. In a standard EIA submission, our input is often referred to as the Electronic Interference Chapter or Telecommunications Interference Chapter.
In most cases, input is also required from the JRC, Arqiva and mobile network operators; ensuring that the full details of the proposed development are known to all consultees and all feedback is assessed and presented. Potential impacts and effects are subsequently identified and analysed, aiding the completion of the chapter. Chapters are written in any required technical style and to any provided chapter template. We also advise on
the requirement for, and scope of EIA to minimise impact and ensure a
proportionate response. We satisfy Part 5, Regulation 18 (Parts 5a and 5b) of The Town and Country Planning EIA Regulations 2017;
(a) the developer must ensure that the environmental statement is prepared by competent experts; and
(b)
the environmental statement must be accompanied by a statement from the
developer outlining the relevant expertise or qualifications of such
experts.
We also review submitted chapters for local planning authorities. The
majority of our EIA Electronic Interference work is conducted in London,
covering all London boroughs.
